Ultrafast spectroscopy provides essential information on the dynamics of physical, chemical and biological molecular events that occur on femtosecond - picosecond - nanosecond time scale. The events are initiated by a femtosecond laser pulse (pump) and the photophysical and photochemical events are probed by another femtosecond laser probe pulse. 1. CDP2022i imaging spectrometer, adapted to the detector head and connected to a computer via serial port:

Visible grating: 300 –1700 nm spectral range; 206 nm detection range

Infrared grating: 700 nm – 1900 nm spectral range; 206 nm detection range

Entrance slit is equipped with two fiber leads for probe and reference beams
